Medical Billing Specialist

About the Role

Dastify Solutions is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to prepare and submit claims for healthcare clients. You will review billing information, identify missing details and resolve submission errors so claims can move forward accurately and on time.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys detailed work and can manage a billing queue without overlooking important information.

What You’ll Do

• Review patient demographics, insurance details and billing information before submission.
• Check that required referral or authorization information is available where applicable.
• Enter or review charges against approved documentation and assigned coding.
• Identify discrepancies and route coding or documentation questions to the appropriate team.
• Submit claims through practice management systems and clearinghouses.
• Review submission reports and correct rejected claims.
• Track unresolved items and communicate with client staff to obtain missing information.
• Maintain clear account notes and coordinate with payment posting and A/R teams.

What You’ll Bring

• At least two years of medical billing experience.
• Working knowledge of medical claim forms, CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM terminology.
• Experience using billing software, clearinghouses and payer portals.
• Ability to distinguish claim rejections from payer denials.
• Strong attention to detail and effective written communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

• Physician practice or multispecialty billing.
• Medicare, Texas Medicaid and commercial insurance.
• Relevant medical billing training or certification.
