This notice explains how Dastify Solutions handles information in the
Dastify Medical Billing Calculator Chrome extension. It supplements Dastify Solutions’ general website privacy policy, available at
https://www.dastifysolutions.com/privacy-policy/.
1. Purpose of the Extension
The extension calculates medical-practice revenue-cycle performance from aggregate figures entered by the user. It can calculate:
- Collection performance
- Denial impact
- Aged accounts receivable
- Cost to collect
- In-house versus outsourced billing scenarios
2. Information We Collect
The extension may handle the following information entered by the user:
- Practice Details: Optional practice name, medical specialty, number of providers, and reporting period.
- Financial Data: Aggregate charges, contractual adjustments, and payments.
- Claims Data: Aggregate claim and denial counts.
- Accounts Receivable: Aggregate accounts-receivable balances.
- Cost Inputs: Aggregate billing salaries, operating costs, technology costs, fees, and outsourcing assumptions.
Note: The extension does not require patient-level data or protected health information.
3. Local Processing and Storage
Calculations are performed locally in the user’s browser. The extension may save an unfinished calculator draft so the user can move between calculation steps. Completed calculations are stored only when the user selects
Save.
You understand and agree that:
- Storage Limit: The extension stores no more than 20 saved scenarios through Chrome’s local extension storage.
- No Transmission: Calculator entries, drafts, and saved results are not transmitted to Dastify Solutions or to third parties by the extension.
4. Information the Extension Does Not Access
The extension does not access or collect:
- Browsing history
- Website content
- EHR or payer-portal data
- Passwords or authentication information
- Personal communications
- Precise or approximate location
- Advertising identifiers
- Patient records or clinical information
The extension does not use content scripts, website host permissions, advertising technology, analytics SDKs, or remote executable code.
5. External Links
The extension contains visible links to Dastify Solutions’ privacy policy and consultation page. These pages open only after the user intentionally selects a link.
Information entered on Dastify’s website is governed by Dastify Solutions’ general privacy policy and the disclosures shown on the relevant web form.
6. Data Sharing and Sale
Dastify Solutions does not receive, sell, rent, or share calculator entries or saved results, because the extension does not transmit that information.
Extension data is not used for advertising, lending, creditworthiness, or purposes unrelated to the calculator’s stated function.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally saved drafts and scenarios remain in Chrome’s extension storage until:
- The user deletes them
- The user clears the extension’s storage
- The user uninstalls the extension
Users can delete individual saved scenarios or select
Delete All Calculator Data from the extension’s
Privacy & Data screen.
8. Protected Health Information
The extension is designed for aggregate practice information only. Users must not enter:
- Patient names or dates of birth
- Claim numbers or member IDs
- Medical-record numbers
- Clinical notes or diagnoses
- Any other identifiable patient information or protected health information
Dastify Solutions does not represent this version of the extension as a system for receiving or storing PHI.
9. Security
The extension limits access by requesting only Chrome’s side-panel and local-storage permissions. It requests no host permissions and performs no background transmission of calculator data.
Users remain responsible for controlling access to their device and Chrome profile.
10. Children’s Privacy
The extension is intended for medical-practice owners, managers, administrators, and revenue-cycle professionals. It is not directed to children.

If a future version transmits or handles additional categories of information, Dastify will update the extension’s in-product disclosures, privacy policy, and Chrome Web Store disclosures before the change is released.
